What if my child doesn’t respect me?

Respect is earned through relationship, not fear.

What to do, step by step:

  1. Be consistent and kind.
    Kids trust what’s predictable.
  2. Model the respect you want.
    Speak gently even when correcting.
  3. Explain your reasoning.
“I say no because it keeps you safe.”
  4. Hold boundaries calmly.
    Firm + warm = leadership.
  5. Reconnect after conflict.
“We got upset, but I still love you.”
